Birch Creek Development Has No Response to Planning Commission’s Recommendation to Reject Conditional Use Permit

December 29, 2023 by Paul Crowe

Just noted on the Venango Township website:

As of 12/29/2023, Venango Township has not received a response to the Planning Commission’s recommendations from Wilson Solar/Birch Creek Development.

The vote on the permit was delayed at the last meeting due to Birch Creek claiming they needed extra time to respond to the planning commission’s rejection of their application for a conditional use permit and rezoning. They had until December 27th to respond.

It will now be decided by how the supervisors vote.

Birch Creek was looking for an easy target in a community of people who were too busy too notice what they were planning. That is NOT Venango Township.

From what I can see because of the zoning initial rejection there’s no reason to even have a vote and if there is a vote it should be no it’s what the residents want not the board

Why solar developers never understand

It is difficult to get a man to understand
something, when his salary depends upon
his not understanding it.

~ Upton Sinclair

It’s not ON-demand, it’s NO-demand

Solar energy is 'no-demand' electricity.
If the sun isn't shining
and you demand electricity,
the answer is no.

Unfortunately

The less you know about grid scale solar
The more you'll like it
