Important Meeting Dates for Venango Township

December 28, 2023 by Paul Crowe

Venango Township will be holding a budget meeting today, 12/28/23 at 9AM to approve the budget and the .4 mill tax increase.

There will be two meetings in January, the reorganization meeting will be on January 2nd and the first regular meetings will be held on January 8th. Planning meetings take place at 6PM and supervisors meetings take place at 7PM.

The 30-day extension that the Supervisors afforded Birch Creek Development to respond to the Planning Commission’s revised recommendation to the Conditional Use Permit for the Wilson Solar Farm has now passed and at the time of this post there is no reference to their response on the township web site. The vote on the conditional use permit should take place on January 8th.

Your attendance at these meetings is an important reminder to the township of where everyone stands on these issues.

There’s no need to have a vote on a conditional use permit the residents don’t want it I vote no. I wonder how many other people who happen to go south for the winter that aren’t going to be able to vote against this!

This is a total waste of tax dollars ineffective lame excuse for feel good climate change BS I think it’s time people in these small communities across the Nation to wake up and realize we need to put more compident
people in these positions people who know more than how to drive a tractor or a truck. I sure hope the friends and neighbors in my community brave the cold weather get out and fight against this foolishness of money grubbing corporations wasting our tax dollars and time

Why solar developers never understand

It is difficult to get a man to understand
something, when his salary depends upon
his not understanding it.

~ Upton Sinclair

It’s not ON-demand, it’s NO-demand

Solar energy is 'no-demand' electricity.
If the sun isn't shining
and you demand electricity,
the answer is no.

Unfortunately

The less you know about grid scale solar
The more you'll like it
