February 8, 2024 by Paul Crowe

A Statutory Appeal in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas has been filed by Wilson Solar LLC against the Venango Township Supervisors. The appeal was made:

to challenge the denial of its conditional use application to develop a solar energy system in Venango Township. Wilson Solar submits that the Board of Supervisors of Venango Township abused its discretion and erred at law in denying the conditional use application.

So they’re going bully residents and Supervisors into approving this so they can get their share of the solar “green energy taxpayer money grab”. I’m sure that will go over well.. Corporate America using the legal system to rack up lawsuits and legal fees. Fabulous and ethical company. Can’t get their way, run small towns in the ground. The solar farm near Waterford looked great with all the snow laying on the panels the last couple storms, or at least I was told. Foolishness and absolute waste of money. We are 30th of 50 in education, the same as solar energy production. Which would you rather see our money go? Who’s pockets are you lining? These property owners WILL be left holding the bag – again. Is it my understanding that a couple parcels withdrew from the project?

I believe the residents don’t want it rezoned and I believe that the supervisors work for the residents and I don’t believe that because you feel you applied correctly and was denied has nothing to do with it

Why solar developers never understand

It is difficult to get a man to understand
something, when his salary depends upon
his not understanding it.

~ Upton Sinclair

It’s not ON-demand, it’s NO-demand

Solar energy is 'no-demand' electricity.
If the sun isn't shining
and you demand electricity,
the answer is no.

Unfortunately

The less you know about grid scale solar
The more you'll like it
